Claire and Andrew

I am delighted to show off Claire and Andrew's amazing wedding photographed by the equally amazing Kat Mervyn Photographer.

Claire and Andrew were married in August 2017 in Curragha Church, Co. Meath on a beautiful, sunny day and then headed to Ballymagarvey Village for the celebrations.

Claire first contacted me through Facebook as she had seen flowers which I had created in a style that she liked on my page.  After a few emails back and forth, she booked me, making her one of my most organised brides ever booking me 17 months ahead of her wedding date!

From the very start, Claire had such a beautiful and pretty vision for her wedding flowers and I was really excited at the thought of bringing her floral dream to life.  This was cemented even more when I met them both to run through their wedding flower ideas.  Claire and Andrew are such a lovely, genuine couple and I was delighted to find we not only had kids in common but the hairy kind of kids too in our love of dogs!!  And I was even more thrilled when they asked me to create a floral dog collar for their gorgeous boy Frankie!

One of my favourite things about this wedding (apart from the flowers of course!) was Claire's dress. It's so unusual and utterly breathtaking - I love it.

Thank you so much Claire and Andrew for having me take a part in your special day and I wish you and your family a wonderful, happy and healthy life ahead.

Sandra and Andrew

I first met Andrew at a wedding fair in The Millhouse in 2015. Andrew is a well known and extremely talented videographer (Eye Capture Weddings) and I completely fell in love with his work and have been happily recommending him to any brides since. So I was absolutely thrilled when he asked me to be his and Sandra's wedding florist!

I hadn't met Sandra at that stage but when I did I absolutely loved her sweetness, enthusiasm and vision that she had for her wedding and after our meeting I felt like I'd known her for ages too! I was delighted to learn that Gareth McGaughey was their photographer and that the wedding was taking place in a venue that I hadn't been to before - Trudder Lodge in Wicklow. It's an absolutely beautiful venue and very much up Sandra and Andrew's street with a very laid back and chilled out vibe to the place.

It was fantastic to create flowers for such a lovely couple who really made me feel like part of the family on their wedding day. Thank you to you both and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, health and love and thanks so much for choosing me to be your wedding florist - I loved being a part of your very special day.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!  I am only getting around to posting this now but I wish that all of you have a wonderful, happy, healthy and successful year 2018.

I also hope you had a lovely festive season.  I had a great relaxing time after the madness of Christmas was over and I really enjoyed a very nice time with my family.

I have lots of queries coming in thick and fast from gorgeous couples who got engaged over the festive period, and to those who have already booked Petite Fleurs, I am very much looking forward to working with you to create your perfect wedding flowers.  I am lucky to have some fabulous weddings coming up this year which I cannot wait to design for.

January is typically a quiet month for weddings but never a dull moment here as this is the month that I arrange consultations and get to meet prospective brides (well, mainly brides with the occasional groom but more than likely mammies, sisters and bridesmaids too!). This is one area of my work which I absolutely LOVE.  I love meeting the brides, hearing their ideas and envisaging it all in my minds eye - such an exciting part of my job.

I have lots of weddings from last year which brides and grooms have very kindly agreed to be on my blog and I'm really looking forward to showing them off so keep an eye out for them popping up over the coming weeks.

Have a great weekend everyone x

Sam and Rachel

I've been dying to show off these photos of this gorgeous couple’s wedding!

Sam and Rachel got married in December 2016 in the fabulous Ballymagarvey Village in Co. Meath. They came my way via the equally fabulous Nikki of Bridal by Nikki Kavanagh who kindly recommended me to them as they were looking for a florist (thank you Nikki).

When I met them to discuss their wedding flowers, they charmed me with their enthusiasm and excitement at getting married to each other as well as their sweetness.

The ideas they wanted incorporated were lots of sparkle in gold details coupled with elements from the time of year in pine cones and berries to give that Christmas feel to their wedding flowers (there were even pine cone buttonholes – fabulous!).  Their thoughtfulness was apparent in that they included photo mementos of their Grandfathers who had passed which I attached to the handles of their bouquets.

And with these incredible photos taken by Elisha Clarke and Ballymagarvey Village looking absolutely amazing at that time of year, highlights their wonderful wedding perfectly.

Thank you Sam and Rachel for having me take a part in your special day and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness, love and health xx

Emma Russell Photo Shoot with Tara and Derek

I was lucky enough to be asked to create flowers for a photo shoot that the fabulous Emma Russell Photographer was organising with a past bride and groom of both of ours, Tara and Derek.

The amazing location of these photos is in the fabulous hills of Co. Wicklow. I loved the idea of being able to create flowers again for this gorgeous couple (no, they are not professional models although I think they both have missed their calling).

Emma and her great friend Elaine Barker Photographer have joined together to create Wedding Day Re-Shoots by Emma and Elaine (can be found on Facebook) which is a fantastic idea.

Tara and Derek's 'original' wedding day involved a lot of rain so they too jumped at the chance to do it all again. I LOVE these photos and am so happy with how the flowers turned out.

Thanks Emma for this fabulous opportunity and well done to everyone involved.

Laura and James

Welcome to my first blog on my new website.

My first feature is a couple I adore who got married in one of my all-time favourite venues The Millhouse. Enjoy everyone.

Laura and James were married in July 2016 in The Millhouse in Slane on a beautiful sunny day.  From the moment Laura and I started our email correspondence (both her and James live in Edinburgh so she planned her wedding from afar) we just clicked and the massive amount of emails on my system back and forth are a testament to that!

Laura is an Irish bride from one of my favourite counties Mayo (another talking point for us) and her friendliness and enthusiasm and above all warm heartedness just jumped out from her emails and I was so happy and excited when she confirmed me as her wedding florist.

Laura had definite ideas of what she wanted – she adored the pink gypsophila which I too was delighted about as it broke the norm from the white version which has been so popular at weddings – and she loved peonies (who doesn’t), hydrangeas and sweet pea which I created for her in her own bouquet.

Laura’s plan for the centre pieces in the Pavilion was to have hydrangeas and gypsophila in pinks and whites placed into beautiful patterned jugs which she managed to source in her home county and they really completed and set off the room fantastically.

And there was more loveliness to come! James actually messaged me himself to thank me for doing such a great job on the flowers and for all of my help during the wedding planning – grooms don’t normally do this so I was thrilled (I told Laura he’s definitely a keeper ;0) ).

I wish Laura and James a wonderful life together, filled with happiness, health and love and thank you both for having me take a part in your special day.
